Legal Impact for Chickens is a 501(c)(3) litigation nonprofit working to protect farmed animals. You may have seen our Costco shareholder derivative suit in The Washington Post, Fox Business, or CNN Business—or even on TikTok. Or perhaps you saw LIC recommended by Animal Charity Evaluators.

We’re looking for two law student summer interns to help design and carry out creative, precedent-setting lawsuits!

About you:

• Zealous, creative, enthusiastic, current law student

• Entrepreneurial spirit

• Passion for helping farmed animals

• Ability to conduct legal research on Westlaw or Lexis

• Happy to roll up your sleeves and do all types of nonprofit startup work, beyond just legal work. You don’t need skills or experience in any area—only a willingness to try new things!

• Fast learner

• Kind to our fellow humans

About the role:

Your role will be a combination of (1) helping us design and pursue creative impact litigation for animals, and (2) helping with everything else we need to do, to grow our nonprofit!

Location: This is a remote, U.S.-based position.

Timing: Summer 2025

Compensation: Unpaid. We will only accept interns who can receive a stipend or academic credit for the internship.
