Volunteer Opportunity: Video Editors for On-Demand Course Creation (Stipend Provided)

The International Centre for Animal Rights and Ethics (ICARE) is seeking skilled Video Editors to join our team and help transform raw video recordings of live lectures into a professional, high-quality on-demand course. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to advancing animal rights law education globally.

💡 What You’ll Do:

• Edit live lecture recordings (2.5–3 hours each) to improve clarity, flow, and engagement.
• Add captions/subtitles for accessibility and inclusivity (I'll review the transcriptions for academic/animal rights law concepts, no worries!).
• Incorporate title cards and branding elements (logos, transitions, intro/outro slides) using ICARE’s brand guidelines (branding kit provided).
• Enhance video/audio quality (e.g., noise reduction, sound balancing).
• Ensure videos meet professional standards for an on-demand course.
• Collaborate with the ICARE team via Slack, integrating feedback to maintain quality and consistency.

💼 Skills We’re Looking For:

• Proven video editing experience (experience with educational/professional content preferred).
• Proficiency in software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
• Experience with adding captions/subtitles (knowledge of accessibility standards is a plus).
• Familiarity with branding guidelines and consistency in application (branding kit provided).
• Strong time-management and communication skills (being responsive and coordinating with the other video editor(s) is essential).
• A team-oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate on ICARE’s mission.

⏰ Time Commitment:

• Editing 8 lectures in total (divided among video editors), 2.5-3 hours each
• Estimated 10 hours per video, depending on your pace and workload.
• Flexibility for check-ins with the team to provide updates and integrate feedback.
