Animals Aotearoa is a registered charity run based on effective altruism principles. Our goal is to secure commitments from food businesses to make changes in line with the Better Chicken Commitment and to raise public awareness of the welfare issues associated with the breed, stocking density, living environment, and slaughter of chickens bred for meat.

We are looking for skilled generalists to join our team for maternity leave cover, and perhaps beyond. The selection of roles in this job description reflects a wide range of tasks currently completed by our existing contractors. We’re seeking applicants interested in taking on all or part of these responsibilities, with full-time preferred and part-time roles considered.
