Greener by Default Communications Internship

At Greener by Default, you will be working towards the ambitious goal of completely transforming institutional foodservice - and the food system as a whole - by making plant-based food the default. 

We recognize that the fate of humans, animals, and ecosystems are bound together, and strive to create a food system that will allow all life on earth to flourish. In order to achieve our vision, we develop strategies rooted in science, sustainability, and inclusivity to empower institutions to serve plant-forward food. 

Position 

This paid internship is approximately 5 hours per week, on an ongoing basis as needed. This is a remote position, joining a 100% virtual office. 
 

Role 

The intern will be responsible for supporting Greener by Default (GBD) in creating and editing images and assisting with social media engagement. The intern will join a small but mighty team and will report directly to the co-founders of Greener by Default, Ilana Braverman and Katie Cantrell.

Responsibilities and Projects

• Editing existing infographics, social media posts, and flyers
• Creating new images for social media
• Engaging with supporters on social media
• Managing social media posts

Qualifications

• Proficient in graphic design software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva etc.)
• Experience creating and curating content for social media 
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and take initiative

Compensation

The internship will pay $18-$22/hour, depending on experience.
