On the Panamerican Highway South in the city of Lima in Peru, a silent tragedy occurs every day every morning: live animals are transported in inhumane conditions to slaughterhouses and collection points. Laying hens, chickens, cows, pigs, sheep, goats and horses are crammed into dark and putrid trucks on their way to death.
