Compassion in World Farming (CIWF) is a fast-growing and influential international organization, which is already ensuring that millions of animals in livestock farming have a better life. But we want more, because the industrial livestock industry is not only a disaster for animals. It pollutes and warms the earth, threatens the health of humans and animals and contributes to the unequal distribution of food on earth. That is why CIWF is committed to more animal-friendly, healthy and sustainable livestock farming, for animals, people and the earth.

For our team in the Netherlands (Nijmegen) we are looking for a:

Director 

For 32 hours per week. Start date 1 April or as soon as possible thereafter.

If you become our new director:

• Will you lead our enthusiastic and professional team in the Netherlands
• You will work closely with management and colleagues in our head office (UK) and in other European countries.
• Within the framework of our global strategic plan, you will be ultimately responsible for strategy, planning and execution of our campaigns, advocacy, lobbying and fundraising in the Netherlands.
• You will work with and represent CIWF Netherlands with fellow organisations and stakeholders in the Netherlands.
• Represent your CIWF Netherlands in the media.

What we expect from you:

• You have knowledge, experience and understanding of the impacts of industrial livestock farming on animal welfare, nature and the environment in the Netherlands and of the political debate on these topics.
• You have senior experience in campaigning and marketing in an NGO or for charities in the Netherlands
• You have experience with political lobbying, spokesperson in the Netherlands, especially with regard to animal welfare, the environment and climate issues
• You are a team builder, communicate effectively and know how to get things done
• You have an understanding of management, HR and budgeting
• You know how to express yourself perfectly in Dutch and English.

We offer:

• A salary between € 4321 and € 4801 gross per month based on 32 hours per week.

Compassion in World Farming (CIWF) is een snelgroeiende en invloedrijke internationale organisatie, die er nu al voor zorgt dat miljoenen dieren in de veehouderij een beter leven krijgen. Maar we willen méér, want de industriële vee-industrie is niet alleen een ramp voor dieren. Ze vervuilt en verwarmt de aarde, bedreigt de gezondheid van mens en dier en draagt bij aan de ongelijke verdeling van voedsel op aarde. Daarom zet CIWF zich in voor een diervriendelijkere, gezonde en duurzame veehouderij, voor dieren, mensen en de aarde.

Voor ons team in Nederland (Nijmegen) zoeken wij een:

Directeur

Voor 32 uur per week. Startdatum 1 april of zo spoedig mogelijk daarna.

Als jij onze nieuwe directeur wordt:

• Geef je leiding aan ons enthousiaste en professionele team in Nederland
• Werk je nauw samen met directie en collega’s in ons hoofdkantoor (UK) en in andere Europese landen.
• Ben je - binnen het kader van ons mondiaal strategisch plan -  eindverantwoordelijk voor strategie, planning en uitvoering van onze campagnes, advocacy, lobby en fondsenwerving in Nederland.
• Werk je samen met en vertegenwoordig je CIWF Nederland bij collega-organisaties en stakeholders in Nederland.
• Vertegenwoordig je CIWF Nederland in de media.

Wat we van je verwachten:

• Je hebt kennis, ervaring en begrip van de impacts van de industriële veehouderij op dierenwelzijn, natuur en milieu in Nederland en van het politieke debat over deze onderwerpen.
• Je hebt senior ervaring in campagnevoering en marketing in een NGO of voor goede doelen in Nederland
• Je hebt ervaring met politieke lobbying, woordvoering in Nederland, met name met betrekking tot dierenwelzijn, milieu en klimaatproblematiek
• Je bent een teambuilder, communiceert effectief en weet van aanpakken
• Je hebt begrip van besturen, HR en budgetteren
• Je weet je perfect uit te drukken in het Nederlands en Engels.

Wij bieden:
