Chile's 'Save the Octopuses' Campaign

Under the Aquatic Welfare program by Fundación Derecho y Defensa Animal , we are launching the “Save the Octopuses” (Salvemos a los Pulpos) campaign. Our goal is to advocate for a ban on octopus farms in Chile’s new aquaculture law, rejecting their exploitation in intensive production systems.

Our initial actions include urging the government and Austral University to take greater responsibility by funding the research that is currently enabling these farms. At the same time, we are working to raise public awareness on this critical issue.
